hi, my family is looking for a place to stay as a retreat home, meaning for retirement and settling down.

We have heard several places that were introduced in documentaries and all and Hokkaido's environment looks very attractive to us.

Now the questions are, if the living cost there are high? and how about the housing price in there? and the acceptance of chinese among the locals and how do they treat Permanant Residence.
