If you do wish to train in Japan can i make one recommendation..
try to get your Japanese up to speed before you come.
Unless you are lucky enough to find a teacher who speaks English well you will have a hard time finding someone who will be prepared to teach you, and if you do find someone it will be VERY difficult to learn anything if you dont know what they are saying

Some great dojo and budokan in Japan. Many are built by local government and rented cheaply to martial arts groups.
