Parlez-vous Japanese? 11 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 2
I found this booklet in a donations box at the local public library.
It was published by Japan Air Lines, probably in the early 1960's.
These pages are just to give the overall impression of the text.

Any (polite) comments or information are welcome.

"Nearly everyone you will come in contact with... will have some knowledge of English"

Bullshit.

50 years later and they are still bullshitting themselves and the world with similar propaganda.

Japan is one of the least English-friendly countries in the world.

I'm curious. I've often heard people say that Japanese is a very difficult language to learn. I speak a few languages, and when I was younger, played around with learning it. Maybe it's because my Japanese was very primitive, but it seemed rather easy to me, mostly because it's logical and consistent.

Were those merely beginner's observations due to a lack of knowing the fullness of it, or is it in fact, relatively easy to learn to an understandable degree?

What say you?
