Has anyone tried to buy a foreclosed property/house in Japan ?

Seems a way around the delays and realtor fees, but then has it's own kind or risk...

I know the old dude tried it but he said it was a hassle and the guys he dealt with were expensive and a pain and he gave up on it.
Cant remember if he made a video about it.
