Japanese people have some very mature ways of dealing with this subject which can be hard for some westerners to deal with.
Showing insecurity or "doubting" your partner will cause many Japanese people to lose respect for you, especially your partner!
The attitude is usually that people will cheat if they want to cheat and asking questions is not cool even if they are cheating!
The deal seems to be that we should show trust and confidence in them, no matter what.
This can be difficult for some westerners to deal with but, if we are honest with ourselves, it is a sensible and mature approach.
If our partner is thinking of cheating or tempted to, they are more likely to do so if we are being insecure, not trusting them, or otherwise behaving in an uncool way!!

Just don't cheat on your partner and you will be fine. If my partner cheated on me i would lose respect for them. But i have an very forgiving personality so i might forgive them.

trust and honor are major factors in japanese culture. it's not the physical act of cheating that hurts them. it's the fact that you gave your "feelings" to another person. once those "feelings" are sacrificed, you have lost trust and in most case will never be rebuilt. they see no need in even trying.

I can deal with the not asking about it and all that, I am very not jealous or even curious about my partners activities. If they did cheat on me however, and I KNEW, man, it is over, i can forgive a great amount but, that is too much for DEL-J, roger?

I was with this girl for a really long time, neither of us ever cheated but, there were points where we both "liked" other people. I can deal with her being attracted to another guy, we had been together for so long and I knew she "loved" only me, and she had the same respect for me but, if she had ever acted on any of it, she would have been dead to me.
