So, my University is running an exchange programme with Hosei University, which is in Tokyo. I'm about 85% certain I'll take them up on it, but I've never been to Japan in my life.

I've heard alot about the fairly large cultural differences between the various prefectures in Japan, and was wondering what people would be able to tell me about Tokyo. I was also wondering if anyone's visited Hosei University itself.

I doubt most foreigners would be able to see the differences in cultural differences between ken..
it is pretty subtle...

But the difference between we you are now and Japan will be HUGE

Well I suppose not. I've only got what I've learned from watching anime, really, and it would be ignorant of me to assume that that actually prepares me in any way. (Apart from giving me a small amount of practice in my Japanese skills I suppose.)

And I've been working my way through those videos over the past few days. They're really good- entertaining as well as just informative.
