Where to live in Japan? 15 Years ago Karma: 0

Hi, I am 13 years old and planning the biggest dream of my life . I WILL move to Japan, and I WILL be successful at whatever I come across . I know people might say something like, "You'll never be able to do it" or "You need to have ALOT of money" or even "You need to know Japanese to do that"
And what I have to say to any of those rediculous comments is that I wouldn't be saying and talking about all of this if I didn't know what was coming . I am able to speak full conversations, and have plenty of time to study . I know how expensive it is to live in Japan, that's why im saving . My family is also chipping in . I found discounts for student flights, and im working on a scholarship . So, now I have a few questions since you know most of my story.

1] I've come to choose from these three places. I know they are'nt that affordable and pretty expensive. Kanto [Tokyo], Osaka, or Hokkaido. Which one should I choose? I like decent weather. Im not a big fan of really hot places, and love the snow.

2] Im searching for a art college. I know I want something to do with art, so im still planning. Do any of the three have Art colleges or fashion colleges. Or Universities. [I know Universities are harder to get into, I know~]

3] Weeeelllll . Im trying to get my mom to let me go to Japan for the last year of High school, like an exchange program, buuuuuttt she said no. Buuuut, not to sound spoiled or anything, but I tend to persuade my family easily .

Wow!
When are you planning to come?

If you like snow you would love Hokkaido!!
Lots of snow there!!!!!!!!

Art and fashion universities.. maybe.. is your reading and writing in Japanese high level?

Yes, some sort of home stay program would be a great idea to give you a taste of Japan

Which country are you from?

I too wish to live in Japan, I'm not sure how expensive it is though, but I'll figure something out, I'm a very talented individual. Don't let anyone tell you "you can't," you can, if you have a dream and you know in your heart it's meant to be than go for it, it's yours for the taking. At the same time you should show proper respect for other people's opinions, but that doesn't mean they are right.

Hello, I plan on atleast visiting Japan and studying abroad there. I was wondering what are the major cities on the main islands. I want to live in a big city but I believe that Tokyo and Osaka are a little too expensive for me to live there if I'm only on a English teacher salary. Thanks in advance.

I guess that's true Kyoto is nice and probably not as expensive as Tokyo or Osaka. Thanks
