JENESYS: Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths

Aim: "This subsidized programme for Educational Tour for Asian students to Japan (hereinafter called the "programme" aims to further engage in and diversify exchange between East-Asia countries and Japan and eventually to promote and deepen friendly and cooperative relationship between the countries by means of subsidizing educational tours to Japan carried out by respective country's educational institutions. This aim is to help lay the stalwart foundation for a common future vision and solidarity in East Asia and promote mutual understanding among younger generation in the region through youth exchange." quoted from JICE (edited ver. by me).

COMMENT
:-

Yeah...unfortunately those people not in category of asian countries are not selected into this programme. Good thing about this, this programme provide 'free' visit to Japan for those who never been to Japan before for 11-days (usually!). All you need to worry is your own pocket money...other expenses are covered. The trip is scheduled by the JICE officers, and not much free time! Students are told to do something in return - example, presentation of culture differences of your country and Japan. compact schedule. however, it's a good experience!

PS: So, dont think you've been selected for JENESYS means free to walk around Japan.

WHAT?

1] You'll visit Tokyo and experience the capital city.
2] You'll sent to different prefecture for culture understanding & home-stay experience for a night (2 days).
3] Not much of shopping. More on sightseeing & learning cultures.
4] Student exchange - Experience the atmosphere of Japan university. Yes. We're going to attend their lecture. If you're not lucky, the lecture will be taught in Jaoanese/English. However, mostly in English.
5] Home-Stay ; To feel of being one of the Japanese family. 2 Days 1 Night. Host family may not understand English, a little maybe. However, they'll instead try their best to communicate with you using mini electronic dictionary/translator. (Language Barrier).

HAVE FUN! DON'T GET LOST...!

Cooperation with JENESYS: Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, South Korea, New Zealand, U.S.A, Canada, India & Russia.
