Business/Work relations with Japanese 10 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Does anybody here have experience with doing business with Japanese people??

I know Japanese businesses work really different from European or American businesses
Their work ethics their way of doing everything

I have met and talked to a Japanese business owner who would very much like to do some work with me as he told me. He has followed me for some time now.. at first i didn't even thought he knew about me..I was shocked he was interested..

We have known each other for a couple of months now

But one thing i have noticed is that doing actual business is going very very very slowly...
I rarely get responses nor status updates..but we do get along..

At one point i wanted to give up because i wasn't hearing anything so i dropped it.. But then all of the sudden i received an email..i will be in your country lets talk and hang out..
I thought he forgot about me because i can see the man is immensely busy everyday always announcing and showing his new events and ventures.

The negotiation went well as that i thought..he took me out for dinner I have been asked to come and see his company in japan many times..I know he does very good work and i look up to him and i have always wanted to have a partner in japan.

But i must have this intense patience or something because it moves so slow..

Does anybody have experience with this?

What do i do? do i just have to bite my tongue and ride it out and keep showing I'm still in the picture? Or does this mean its a no im not interested..

last time i spoke with him was 2 weeks ago when i mailed him my latest work..where he replied -> im working on this thank you!
again slow pace

If not interested why bother contacting me..

Any advice on this?

Yep, that is what they do.
They are useless at making decisions and don't like doing anything they haven't done before.
Very frustrating.
